Active Steps Toward Net Zero: How We’re Building a Greener, Safer Future

Leading the Charge to Net Zero

At Active Security Solutions, protecting people and placeshas always been our mission. Today, we’re proud to extend that commitment toprotecting the planet.

Our recently published Net Zero Plan outlines the actionswe’ve taken—and the roadmap we’ve drawn—to reduce our carbon footprint andcontribute to a more sustainable future. This is about more than compliance. It's about accountability, leadership, and legacy.

Understanding Our Emissions

We use the internationally recognised Greenhouse GasProtocol to measure our carbon emissions in three categories:

Scope 1 – Direct emissions (e.g., diesel used in companyvehicles)

Scope 2 – Indirect emissions (e.g., purchased electricity)

Scope 3 – Emissions throughout our value chain (e.g.,employee commuting, business travel)

Key Achievements

We’ve already reduced total emissions by 39% from ourbaseline year. This includes a 46.83% drop in Scope 1 emissions, thanks tooperational efficiencies and a shift away from fossil fuels. While Scope 2emissions have increased, we are investigating the spike following our solarpanel installation to ensure it aligns with our long-term goals.

Our Targets

We’ve submitted science-based targets for validation to theScience Based Targets initiative (SBTi):

By 2030:

50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions

50% reduction in selected Scope 3 emissions

By 2045:

90% reduction in total emissions

Achieving Net Zero

Practical Action. Real Results.

We’ve taken meaningful steps to reduce emissions across ourbusiness operations:

Fleet Fuel Efficiency

Vehicle tracking across our fleet

MPG monitoring and performance targets

Eco-driver training for all drivers

Phased switch to hybrid and electric vehicles

Energy and Waste

Office-wide upgrade to energy-efficient LED lighting

Installation of 12 rooftop solar panels

Shift to digital-first policies and reduced paper usage

Smart printing and recycling education across teams

Smarter Business Travel

Use of Zoom and Teams for client meetings

Fewer unnecessary vehicle journeys

What’s Next?

Between now and 2027, we’ll continue to monitor progress andhold ourselves accountable. Our quarterly reports on MPG performance andemissions data will help ensure transparency and guide further improvements.

This is just the beginning of our Net Zero journey—butwe’re proud of how far we’ve come. Every change we make today brings us closerto a safer, greener tomorrow.
